He placed a five-dollar chip in the betting circle and waited for his cards. The dealer looked at him and them pointed to the green table limit sign and told him, "Sir, this is not a five dollar table." <p>He said, "Oh, I didn't know." He then picked up his stack of red chips and walked away. He could have saved himself from an embarrassing situation if he had read the table limit sign before sitting down to play. All table games in the casinos have a placard on the table listing the minimum bet for that game. In most cases you don't even have to read the sign. All you have to do is look at the color.</p> <p>Many casinos color-code their table game signs to match the denomination of chip for the minimum bet for that table. So all you have to do is look at the color of the sign. The colors of the chips used in the majority of casinos are the same. The denominations of the colors are:</p> <p>White or Blue chips are one dollar.<br/>Red chips are five dollars and are called nickels.<br/>Green chips are twenty-five dollars and are called quarters.<br/>Black chips are one hundred dollars.<br/>Purple Chips are five hundred dollars and are called Barneys.<br/>Orange chips are one thousand dollars and are called pumpkins.</p> <p>About five years ago I read a story about a casino in Las Vegas that issued one dollar chips that were black in color. This created quite a stir amongst the other casinos who have $100 chips that are black. There were concerns that scam artists would mix some of these in with the legitimate chips. The pressure was put on and the casino in question quickly recalled the one dollar black chips.</p> <p>You may occasionally encounter a different color for the dollar chips but red and green are the standards in most casinos. The reason that the casino uses different color chips is to make it easy for the dealers, pit personnel and surveillance cameras to determine how much a player is betting.</p> <p>By matching the color of the chips with the table signs it makes it easy to tell the minimum bet for a table with just a quick glance. A red sign would denote a five-dollar table and a green sign would tell you that the minimum bet is twenty-five dollars. This makes it convenient for the players. There are some tables that have minimums that don't correspond to chip colors such as $10 and $15 games. All you have to do is note which color sign the casino you are visiting uses. Then remember it for the next time. The casinos in Connecticut use yellow for ten-dollar tables and orange for fifteen-dollar tables.</p> <p>Some casinos may have the same color sign for all table minimums. If this is the case you will need to read them before sitting down. But for most of them all you will need to do is look for the color of your choice, have a seat and place your bet.</p> <p><strong>Until next time, remember:<br/>"Luck comes and goes...Knowledge Stays Forever!"</strong> </p> </div><img src="http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-89EKCgBk8MZdE.gif" border="0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="http://blogtrottr.com/spot/8zH/0/FwK" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br /><br /> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/nY0/dcjBQt">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00627659593662498327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147943748213970127.post-10807361094028219742012-11-20T03:50:00.002-08:002012-11-21T00:19:46.807-08:00Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now: Betting Roulette<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; margin-bottom:12px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;">Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">These articles that had the largest increase in popularity over the last week // via fulltextrssfeed.com</span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_"></a> <table width="100%" style="font:12px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; background-color:#fff; padding:10px; margin-bottom:12px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://casinogambling.about.com/od/othergames/ss/roulettinside_3.htm">Betting Roulette</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:10px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 20th 2012, 11:08 </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:12px;"> <p><div> <div> <p>From <a href="http://redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&u=http%3A%2F%2Fcasinogambling.about.com%2Fbio%2FBill-Burton-2996.htm" rel="author">Bill Burton</a>, former Guide</p> </div> <div> <p>Roulette Split Bet</p> <div><q><a href="http://redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&u=http%3A%2F%2F0.tqn.com%2Fd%2Fcasinogambling%2F1%2F0%2FL%2FB%2FRouletteSplit.jpg" target="_blank" title="View Full-Size"><img class="photo" src="http://0.tqn.com/d/casinogambling/1/5/L/B/RouletteSplit.jpg" alt=" Roulette Inside Bets" /></a></q> </div> </div> <p>A Split Bet is a wager on two numbers and it pays 17 to 1. Many winning Handicappers know that betting on Basketball is more profitable then betting on Football because of the sheer number of games to choose from along with a very long season. You can choose from the Professional NBA games or the hundreds of NCAA college games. Every year in March the NCAA hosts the tournament to determine the Nation’s championship team. These series of elimination tournaments are known as “March Madness.†Here is what you need to know to bet on Basketball. <p><strong>How Sports Books Make Money</strong><br/>The casino Sports books make their money on sports bets by collecting a commission on losing bets. This is called the Vigorish or Vig for short. The most common odds are 11 to 10. This means that if you want to win $100 you are risking $110. For example you place a bet on the Giants at the casino sports book and pay $110. If the Celtics win you collect $210 when you cash your winning ticket. If you lose your bet you lose the $110.</p> <p>Ideally the Sports book would like to have the same amount of money wagered on the two teams playing. If the Celtics are playing the Lakers and they have one player betting on the Celtic and one player betting on the Lakers they would pay the winner $100 but collect $110 for the loser. This gives them a $10 profit so they really don’t care who wins as long as they have an equal amount bet on each team. To accomplish this they assign a line or spread to make the contest equally attractive for both sides.</p> <p><strong>The Point Spread</strong><br/>Many people think that the point spread is the predicted margin of victory by which one team will beat another team but this is not true. The line is the handicapper’s prediction of what number will be required to split the wagering evenly on both teams. For this reason the line may change from the opening line to the line at game time.</p> <p>When you bet on a game with the point spread your team does not necessarily have to win. You just need to cover the spread. If you be Miami is favored to win by 7 and they only win by 4 you lose. If you bet Chicago who is a 10 point under dog and they only lose by 3 points then you win.</p> <p><strong>The Money Line</strong><br/>A money line wager is a bet placed without the point spread. You are betting on the team to win the game outright which is also called winning “Straight UP.†When you bet a game on the money line you will have to pay odds other than the normal -110 that you would pay for a straight bet using the point spread. Obviously if you want to bet on the favorite to win straight up, you will have to risk more to win less. If you bet on the underdog, you would bet less to win more. The money line bets are based on a $100 bet. When you see a money line listed the favorite will have a figure with a minus symbol in front of it and the underdog will have a plus symbol in front of it.</p> <p>For Example: The Boston Celtics are 5 point favorites over the Atlanta Hawks. The money line is listed as:<br/>Celtics -220<br/>Hawks +180</p> <p>If you wanted to bet the Celtics on the money line you would have to wager $220 to win $100. If you want to bet the underdog Hawks, you would wager $100 to win $180. Your team would have to win straight up to win your bet.</p> <p><strong>Types of Bets</strong><br/>A Straight bet is a bet made on a single game or outcome. You can choose to bet the favorite or the underdog or you can bet the over or under of the total score. You can also choose to bet the game on the money line. With a straight bet you are betting on a single event or outcome.</p> <p><strong>Totals - Over/Under</strong><br/>You can also choose bet the over or the under for the game total score. The over or the under is a wager on the total score at the end of the game. You add the scores of both teams to get the final number. When you bet the under you are betting that the score will be under the total. When you bet the over you are betting the score will be higher than the total. For Example the final score of the game is: Celtics 115 and Lakers 110. The total of the game is 225. You win if you bet over and the score was more than 225 or if you bet under and the score was less than 225. If the score was exactly 225 then it would be a tie also called a push.</p> </div><img src="http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-89EKCgBk8MZdE.gif" border="0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="http://blogtrottr.com/spot/8zH/0/FwK" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br /><br /> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/nY0/dcjBQt">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00627659593662498327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147943748213970127.post-9961474113413595782012-11-20T03:50:00.000-08:002012-11-21T00:19:46.836-08:00Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now: high5games<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; margin-bottom:12px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;">Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">These articles that had the largest increase in popularity over the last week // via fulltextrssfeed.com</span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_"></a> <table width="100%" style="font:12px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; background-color:#fff; padding:10px; margin-bottom:12px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://casinogambling.about.com/cs/slots/a/high5games.htm">high5games</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:10px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 20th 2012, 11:08 </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:12px;"> <p><div>Slots rule the casino industry. Twenty years ago the slot machine accounted for 30 percent of the casinos profits. Today it accounts for about 70 percent. Hi-tech computer chips make it possible to offer life-changing jackpots. The new technology also makes it possible to offer slot games that are creative, exciting and entertaining. <p>There are still many players who enjoy the old style reel machines such as Double and Triple Diamonds and Red, White and Blue, but these machines don’t offer the excitement to the “Video Generation†who grew up spending numerous hours playing video games. Many of these players spent thousands of dollars playing in arcades before they were of legal age to enter a casino, purely for entertainment with no chance of winning any money for their action. Now when they play the new video slots they expect to be entertained as well as having a chance to win back some of their entertainment costs. This has led to a challenge for the slot makers to create games that will entice players to try their games and entertain them enough to keep them playing and coming back to play some more.</p> <p>Each fall, hundreds of new games are introduced at the World Gaming Expo in Las Vegas. Some of these make it to the casino floor. A few of them will become hits, while others may sit idle and soon find their way to the scrap heap. An idle slot machine takes up valuable real estate on the casino floor and will not be around long because it is unprofitable to keep it. There was a time when the casinos could expect to get a few years of play form each new machine they purchased. Now many of them come and go within nine months to a year. A slot game based on the latest hot TV show or fad may find itself outdated before making it to the floor or soon after if the show or fad loses popularity. This has led to the daunting task for the slot makers to continuously produce new games.</p> <p>When you are playing your favorite slot machine, have you ever wondered who created the game? Many of us are familiar with the names of the major slot manufacturers; IGT, Bally, WMS, and others who manufacture the physical machines as well as produce the games for them. There are also a few independent game developers who create unique proprietary games which are licensed to the major gaming manufacturers or casinos.</p> <p>The industry’s leading independent producer of casino games and gaming concepts is company named High 5 Games located in Nanuet, New York. High 5 Games (H5G) has created and patented over 50 casino games and licensed over 20 of these games, almost all of them have been produced or are in the production stage. Founded in 1995 H5G has produced a broad array of slot machine and video poker games. They have created games that are found in machines manufactured by of most leading slot makers including those previously mentioned.</p> <p>While many players will not recognize the name High 5 Games, many of you will recognize the names of the games they created. Their first game to make it to the casino floor in 1996 was Pick 5 poker for WMS gaming. This was followed by Side Action 21 a video Blackjack game. In 1998 they produced a game that many video poker players still remember, called Big E Poker. The game looked like a big letter “E†and players saw two cards at a time and could pick which line to place each card on to form a paying video poker hand. It was a little complex but those players who mastered the skill of the game loved it.</p> <p>In 1999 High 5 Games produced their first big hit with a game still very popular with the players called Hot Hot Hot. This was followed by Cash Encounters in 2000, Platypus and The Heist in 2001, produced for Bally Gaming. These four games are so popular that Masque Software included them in their Slots II and Slots by Bally software games for the home player.</p> <p>Big Top Circus was created for Sigma Gaming by the creative geniuses at High 5 Games. This is a game with personality, whose main character is Max the Monkey, who acts as Ringmaster and interacts with the players throughout the regular game and the bonus rounds. The game also introduces a unique new concept to video slots. H5G owns the patent to the special Connect-A-Pay Technology which offers 99 possible winning combinations per spin. Here is how it works.</p> <p>With Connect-A-Pay, the player selects between one and nine of the games symbols instead of choosing pay lines. Players can bet up to five coins on all the selected symbols. Since adjacent symbols can appear on any of the lines the matrix offers 99 winning combinations. Each symbol can belong to more than one pay set making it possible to hit the top prize twice in the same spin. Six of the symbols pay out for 3 or more adjacent symbols and three of them only require two adjacent symbols. Because of the pay structure and 99 ways adjacent symbols can be made, the frequency of hits is 46.41 percent when you select nine symbols. This means an average of one hit for every 2.15 spins.</p> </div><img src="http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-89EKCgBk8MZdE.gif" border="0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="http://blogtrottr.com/spot/8zH/0/FwK" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br /><br /> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/nY0/dcjBQt">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00627659593662498327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147943748213970127.post-31920516334715357832012-11-19T04:43:00.003-08:002012-11-21T00:19:46.816-08:00Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now: Poker Hands - What Beats What<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; margin-bottom:12px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;">Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">These articles that had the largest increase in popularity over the last week // via fulltextrssfeed.com</span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_"></a> <table width="100%" style="font:12px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; background-color:#fff; padding:10px; margin-bottom:12px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://casinogambling.about.com/od/gamblingbasics/a/Poker-Hands-What-Beats-What.htm">Poker Hands - What Beats What</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:10px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 19th 2012, 11:08 </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:12px;"> <p><div> <p>The game of poker is very popular all over the world. You’ll want to learn <a href="http://redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&u=http%3A%2F%2Fcasinogambling.about.com%2Fod%2FOthercasinogames%2Fa%2FHow-To-Play-Poker.htm%2F">how to play poker</a> in the future, but for right now, here are the standard hand rankings for poker games played with a standard English deck of 52 cards (no jokers or wild cards). These five-card hands are listed from the best to the worst.</p> <strong>Royal Flush</strong> <p>A royal flush is the highest straight of cards, all in one suit: 10-J-Q-K-A. This hand is very tough to make. Being dealt this hand in five-card <a href="http://redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&u=http%3A%2F%2Fcasinogambling.about.com%2Fod%2Fgamblingbasics%2Fa%2FHow-To-Play-Five-Card-Stud-Poker.htm">stud poker</a> will happen about once in every 649,000 hands. In five card draw (or <a href="http://redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&u=http%3A%2F%2Fcasinogambling.about.com%2Fod%2Fslotsandvideopoker%2Fa%2FVideo-Poker-Royal-Flush-Odds.htm%2F">video poker</a>), it will happen about once in every 40,000 hands.</p> <strong>Straight Flush</strong> <p>A straight flush consists of a straight, all in one suit. The lowest straight flush is A-2-3-4-5. Players usually consider the highest straight flush to be 9-10-J-Q-K, although technically, a royal flush is still a straight flush also â€" and is the highest.</p> <strong>Four of a Kind</strong> <p>Four of a kind is a hand that contains four of the same card, such as four sevens or four Jacks. Because twos (deuces) are rated the lowest and aces the highest in poker, four aces is the highest four of a kind. When two or more players have four of a kind, the highest four of a kind wins. So, four deuces can’t beat any other four of a kind, and four aces can’t be beaten by any other four of a kind.</p> <strong>Full House</strong> <p>A full house is a pair and three of a kind. When two or more players hold full houses it is the three of a kind that will determine the winner. So, aces-full (three aces with any pair) beats any other full house, and deuces-full can not beat any other full house.</p> <p>In a community card game such as Texas Hold’em, two players may hold a hand such as three deuces, in this case, the higher pair <em>will</em> determine the winning hand.</p> <strong>Flush</strong> <p>A flush is any five cards of the same suit. An ace-high flush is higher (and beats) a king-high flush, regardless of the other cards in each hand. When two or more players hold a flush, the hands are compared card-to-card until one hand wins (the highest next card wins, such as when A-7-6-3-2 beats A-7-5-4-3). Two flush hands that are all the same (such as K-J-9-4-3 in hearts against K-J-9-4-3 in clubs) results in a tie. No suit trumps another suit in poker.</p> <strong>Straight</strong> <p>A straight is five cards that all connect â€" five cards in a row, such as 7-6-5-4-3. When two or more players hold a straight, the hand with the highest starting card wins, thus a Jack-high straight (J-10-9-8-7) beats a five-high straight (5-4-3-2-A) even though the five-high contains an ace.</p> <p><strong>Three of a Kind</strong></p> <p>Three of a kind is any hand that holds three of the same cards (except one that has three of a kind and a pair, which is a full-house), such as 2-3-7-7-7 (a set of sevens). When two or more players hold three of a kind, the highest set (aces are highest, deuces lowest) wins.</p> <p>In a community card game such as Texas Hold’em, two players may hold the same three of a kind. In this case, the highest fourth card in the hand will decide the winner. If both of these cards are the same (such as A-A-A-9-5 against A-A-A-9-4), the higher fifth card will determine the winner.</p> <strong>Two Pair</strong> <p>Two pair is a hand that contains a single card and two pairs of cards, such as 2-8-8-Q-Q. When two or more players hold two-pair hands, the hand with the highest pair wins, such as 2-8-8-Q-Q beating 3-7-7-9-9. When one of the pairs is the same, such as K-K-7-7-4 against K-K-5-5-A, the deciding factor is the next pair. In this case, the sevens beat the fives.</p> <p>When both the pairs match, such as 6-6-4-4-3 against 6-6-4-4-2, the single card will determine the winner. In this case the 6-6-4-4-3 hand wins because the three is higher than the deuce.</p> <strong>One Pair</strong> <p>One pair is a hand with three mixed cards and a single pair. When two or more players hold one-pair hands, the highest pair wins. When two players hold the same pair, such as A-A-7-4-3 and A-A-7-4-2, the winning hand is the one with the next highest card. In this instance, the sevens also match as do the fours, but the player with the three beats the player with the deuce.</p> <strong>High Card</strong> <p>A high card hand is one with nothing that matches, no straight, and no flush. When two or more players hold high-card hands, the highest card wins. When the highest card (or subsequent cards) match, the final highest card wins, such as when A-K-7-6-5 beats A-K-6-4-2.</p> <p>These hands do not reflect wild-card games. In games with wild cards, a five of a kind beats a royal flush. Comps are freebies that the casino gives to its customers as a reward for their business. It is a way to promote good will and to entice player loyalty to the establishment. The comp game is one of the most misunderstood aspects of the casino experience. <p>Many players are under the impression that comps are only for the high rollers who spend thousands of dollars each visit. But this is not true. There are different levels of comps depending on the amount of play you give the casinos but most players can usually get something in return for their play. Comps can range from free hats and pens given out as promotions to the ultimate comp of free Food, Room and Beverage (RFB). Free drinks are the universal comp that is given to all players. Most casino will serve you free drinks while you are playing at the slots or table games. Casino Rate is another comp that is fairly easy to obtain. The casinos like you staying and playing at their establishment. In return they are willing to give you a discount on the room rate. If you play enough you can get a full room comp. A buffet or coffee shop comp is also fairly easy to obtain in most places.</p> <p>In order to qualify for comps you need to do two things. First of all you have to get your play rated. This means signing up for the player's club and using you card whenever you play the machines. When you play table games you have to ask the pit boss to rate your play. The second thing you must do when looking for a comp is ASK. No one will come up to you and ask if you are hungry and would like a free meal. You will have to ask for want you want. If your play qualifies for the comp you are looking for you will get it. If not you are told you don't have enough play you can then inquire as to how much play is required for the comp you are seeking.</p> <p>If you are looking for a food comp it is best to do this while you are playing. If you are playing the machines you will need to speak to a casino host. You can tell one of the slot attendants that you would like to speak to a casino host and ask them to page one for you. If you are playing the tables you can ask the pit boss.</p> <p>For a room comp you will want to speak to a casino host before you check out. If you don't have a casino host, you can call the hotel operator and as to be connected with one. Tell them you are getting ready to check out and would like to know if you qualify for and reduction in your room rate. Many people don't bother doing this because they don't think they had enough play to qualify for a free room or reduced rate. You may find that you have more play than you figured but you won't know until you ask. Although you can do this on check out, I find it better ti introduce myself to a host shortly after I check in. This way they can help you along the way and even tell you how much play is required for a food or room comp.</p> <p>The most important thing to remember when trying to obtain a comp is that you have to ask. Just be sure that you ask politely. Never demand a comp and please remember to thank the person who gave you the comp. A simple thank you goes a long way.</p> </div><img src="http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-89EKCgBk8MZdE.gif" border="0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="http://blogtrottr.com/spot/8zH/0/FwK" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br /><br /> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/nY0/dcjBQt">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00627659593662498327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147943748213970127.post-846913467865803352012-11-18T03:43:00.004-08:002012-11-21T00:19:46.832-08:00Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now: Gambling Addiction<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; margin-bottom:12px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;">Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">These articles that had the largest increase in popularity over the last week // via fulltextrssfeed.com</span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_"></a> <table width="100%" style="font:12px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; background-color:#fff; padding:10px; margin-bottom:12px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://casinogambling.about.com/cs/problemgambling/a/problem.htm">Gambling Addiction</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:10px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 18th 2012, 11:08 </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:12px;"> <p><div>The casino is an exciting place to visit. Players visit the casino for different reasons. Some take the time to learn the skills needed to play the games with the primary goal of winning money. The majority of players visit the casino for entertainment. Playing the games is an enjoyable experience and the lure of winning money adds to a player's excitement. Some players enjoy the adrenaline rush and experience a high that accompanies the thrill when they risk their money on the games. For some this feeling can be seductive and alluring and some players succumb to the darker side of gambling, addiction. <p>Addiction is a compulsive need. What starts as a pleasurable experience turns into an uncontrollable destructive craving. Some people become addicted to alcohol, drugs, sex, food and gambling. When the thrill of the game outweighs everything else, the player has crossed over the line from player to addict. Gambling, like all addictions can be devastating for the person and his family.</p> <p>Gamblers Anonymous has a list of Twenty Questions for anyone who feels they may have a gambling problem. This means that they rely on tips for a substantial part of their income the same as many waiters and waitresses. Their service however is quite different. A waitress supplies a service by taking your order to the cook and delivering your food to you in a professional and friendly manner. Hopefully while it's still warm and you're young enough to have the original teeth that you walked in with. The size of their tip is usually a reflection of how efficiently they preformed their duties. Many people feel that the word TIPS is an acronym for the phrase, "To Insure Prompt Service." <p>The service a casino dealer provides is similar in some regards to that of the restaurant worker. They deliver (deal) the casino game to you. You expect this to be done in a friendly and efficient manner that will keep the game going without any unnecessary delays. Their other duties are to make change and pay your bets when you win. Unfortunately one of the dealer's duties includes taking your money when you lose.</p> <p>In the movie, National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation, there are several hilarious scenes when Chevy Chase encounters the blackjack dealer from hell. This particular dealer takes great pleasure in beating Chase out of all his money every time he sits down at the table. He gloats and rubs it in whenever he wins a hand. It makes for some funny scenes but in reality the majority of the dealers want the players to win. The money you win is not coming out of the dealer's pockets so they would love to see you win. They know that most players who have a losing session are not going to be inclined to tip them.</p> <p>It's human nature that when you are losing money at the table you are not feeling to benevolent. A good dealer will try to be friendly and personable so that the players will feel they are having a pleasurable experience even when they lose. Players having fun and enjoying themselves are more likely to leave a tip even after a bad session.</p> <p>In some casinos the dealers gets to keep their own tips. In other establishments they have to pool the tips. I have found that dealers who keep their own tips tend to be even friendlier than the ones who pool their tips. I realize that this is a pretty general statement and I am speaking only from my personal experience. When I encounter a friendly and efficient dealer I will sometimes ask if they get to keep their own tips. If they do I tend to be a little more generous as I know they are receiving the full amount of the tip they earned.</p> <p>In establishments where the tips are pooled, dealers will sometimes put pressure on each other to tow the line if they are bringing in their fair share of the tips. I had a friend who was a dealer in one of the smaller casinos in downtown Las Vegas. Where she worked the dealers on each shift pooled their tips. They had one dealer on the shift that was surly and very unfriendly and this was reflected in the tips from his table. The dealers on the shift had a "chat" with this individual telling him that his attitude was hurting all of them and he better clean up his act or perhaps go work elsewhere. His attitude improved greatly after talking with his co-workers.</p> <p>There are several ways you can tip a dealer if you are inclined to do so. </p> </div><img src="http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-89EKCgBk8MZdE.gif" border="0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="http://blogtrottr.com/spot/8zH/0/FwK" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br /><br /> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/nY0/dcjBQt">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00627659593662498327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147943748213970127.post-76642590934207683742012-11-18T03:43:00.001-08:002012-11-21T00:19:46.828-08:00Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now: badplayer<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; margin-bottom:12px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;">Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">These articles that had the largest increase in popularity over the last week // via fulltextrssfeed.com</span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_"></a> <table width="100%" style="font:12px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; background-color:#fff; padding:10px; margin-bottom:12px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://casinogambling.about.com/od/poker/a/badplayer.htm">badplayer</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:10px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 18th 2012, 11:08 </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:12px;"> <p><div>Over the last year Poker has become the hottest game in the world. To say there is a fascination with the game would be an understatement. The new found interest in poker by millions of people this year can be attributed to a couple of events. <p>Television has brought Poker out of the cardrooms and into the living rooms of millions of people who have become fascinated with the reality game shows. The Travel channel gambled that the World Poker Tour would attract some viewers. It hit the jackpot when it turned into the Networks top rated show. This was the start of more Poker on Television. In past years ESPN would reduce the annual World Series of Poker into a two hour program. This year they turned it into a multi-program series. There was a six hour broadcast of the Showdown at the Sands Poker Tournament on Thanksgiving Day. The Bravo Network is broadcasting a Celebrity Poker Tournament and more poker tournaments are set to be televised in the future. Recently, it seems that every broadcasting network is trying to get a poker show on the air. This year should see the poker continue to grow.</p> <p>Online Poker rooms have been springing up on the Internet and they have been growing as more and more people log on to play poker with players from around the world. When Chris Moneymaker won the 2.5 million dollar first prize at the World Series of Poker in 2004 and Greg Raymer won 5 million in 2005 after winning their entries on an Internet Poker site, millions of would be players dreamed of becoming the next World Champion. Millions of new players flocked to the online poker rooms to try their hand at playing Poker. Many of them have been playing in the freerolls or low limit games in which the players are not very knowledgeable or serious about the game.</p> <p>The combination of Internet players and television viewers has led to an increased number of new players making their way to the casino card rooms. The Poker Rooms in Tunica have seen the influx of these new players who want to try their hand in a live game. Most of these new players have little or no knowledge of the game other than the basic rules. Many of them have gotten all of their education from watching the tournaments on TV. Texas Hold’em is the game of choice because it is easy to learn the basic rules and this is what they have been watching on TV.</p> <p>On television they see the pros making huge raises with trash hands and figure that this is the way the game is supposed to be played. Few of them are savvy enough to note that the players are either initiating a raise or re-raising with the trash hands. You will not see the pros merely calling with garbage hands. In addition, what they are seeing on TV is the final table that has been edited down to two hours. The hands shown on TV have been picked for their dramatic outcomes. They don’t see the boring hands where the majority of players have been folding time and time again. They also don’t realize that they are watching a short handed game that starts with six players.</p> <p><strong>Two Types of Players</strong><br/>Some of these players with their TV education make their way to the cardrooms in the casino or log on to an internet poker site confident that they know how to play the game. They sit down in a <strong>Low Limit</strong> game and play the way the have seen players play the final table of a televised <strong>No Limit</strong> tournament. They think that they can win a low limit game by bluffing and raising and they play like maniacs. This is one of the types of new players you will see in the Poker room these days. They are really easy to spot. Other players who have had their interest piqued by TV or have played a little on the internet are a meeker type. They are weak passive players who will sit down in a game and play a lot of hands but rarely raise of fold.</p> <p>Both the maniac and the passive players have something in common. They don’t know how to play the game properly. They rarely have any concept of starting hand requirements, pot odds or even how to read the board. Some of them will use the any two will do strategy while others will be more selective and wait for two suited cards. Many of the new players think that a single ace is the Holy Grail and constitutes a raise every time they have one. They will cold call raises with hopeless hands and chase all the way to the river looking for a miracle card.</p> <p>The number of new players has actually been a double edge sword for the knowledgeable player. Bad players are profitable for good players. In low limit games you will make more money from your opponent’s mistakes than you will from your own fancy play. This is because most of the new players are only interested in their own cards. Few of them even notice what type of hands the other players are playing.</p> </div><img src="http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-89EKCgBk8MZdE.gif" border="0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="http://blogtrottr.com/spot/8zH/0/FwK" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br /><br /> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/nY0/dcjBQt">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00627659593662498327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147943748213970127.post-59672658894450057942012-11-18T03:43:00.000-08:002012-11-21T00:19:46.819-08:00Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now: profitable sports betting<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; margin-bottom:12px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;">Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">These articles that had the largest increase in popularity over the last week // via fulltextrssfeed.com</span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_"></a> <table width="100%" style="font:12px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; background-color:#fff; padding:10px; margin-bottom:12px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://casinogambling.about.com/od/racesports/a/sportsprofit.htm">profitable sports betting</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:10px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 18th 2012, 11:08 </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:12px;"> <p><div>Sports betting appeals to the smart bettor because it is not a game with a fixed house edge where the casinos are raking off fixed percentage. Sports betting requires more skill than luck similar to live poker. You won’t win every time but the skilled handicapper has a huge advantage over the recreational bettor. Before going into more detail you need to understand how sports betting works. We will take a look at football where a point spread is involved. (Basketball also uses a point spread.) <p>The casino Sports books make their money on sports bets by collecting a commission on losing bets. This is called the Vigorish or Vig for short. The most common odds are 11 to 10. This means that if you want to win $100 you are risking $110. For example you place a bet on the Giants at the casino sports book and pay $110. If the Giants win you collect $210 when you cash your winning ticket. If you lose your bet you lose the $110.</p> <p>Ideally the Sports book would like to have the same amount of money wagered on the two teams playing. If the Giants are playing the Colts and they have one player betting on the Giants and one player betting on the Colts they would pay the winner $100 but collect $110 for the loser. This gives them a $10 profit so they really don’t care who wins as long as they have an equal amount bet on each team. To accomplish this they assign a line or spread to make the contest equally attractive for both sides.</p> <p><strong>The Point Spread</strong><br/>Many people believe that the point spread is the predicted margin of victory by which one team will beat another team. This is not true. The line is the handicapper’s prediction of what number will be required to split the wagering evenly on both teams. For this reason the line may change from the opening line to the line at game time. The Sports books goal is to have the betting as evenly as possible.</p> <p>If the public is swayed by sentiment to bet on a certain team then the odds makers need to adjust the line to get some action on the other team. Otherwise the betting would be heavily lopsided. The general betting public reacts from the opinions of others. This is why you see so many people “Jumping on the band wagon†of a winning team.</p> <p>For the sports books the line is flawed if it does not attract the same amount of action on both sides however from a smart handicapper’s point of view, the line is flawed when it does not compute to his predicted outcome of the game. A weaker team can actually become the favorite if public sentiment is with that team. When this happens the underdog presents a huge overlay for the seasoned handicapper meaning that the odds are in his favor. For example: Team A should be a 3 point underdog to Team B however The public loves Team A and are betting on them and the line moves to make Team A a one point favorite, then Team B becomes an excellent bet. This is the contrarian principle and why many smart handicappers go against the general betting public.</p> <p><strong>The Handicapper</strong><br/>A winning handicapper formulates his own opinions about the game and ignores most of the public sentiment. A handicapper takes information for numerous sources, assigns weights and values to it. They will make their own power ranking and predict what the point spread should be without looking at the official line first, and then compare their predictions to the line to look at discrepancies. The large amount of data available via the internet and other sources means that the handicapper has more information but it means there is more to sift through to find the gems. The use of computer programs can help when searching through the data.</p> <p>Why don’t more people win at sports betting? Like any other endeavor it takes time, patience and practice to become successful. A person of average intelligence can become a winning handicapper if they have the desire. Based on the odds of -110 for a straight football or basketball bet a handicapper only need to be right 52.38 percent of the time to break even however many sports bettors cannot achieve that percentage of winning over the long run. The chart below shows the break even points for the various odds you will encounter when you make a bet on the money line. With higher odds you have to have a higher winning percentage to break even. If you bet the underdogs you can have a lower win percentage and still make money.</p> <h3>Winning Percentages</h3> <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" align="center" width="425"><tr><td>Favorite</td> <td>Winning %</td> <td>Underdog</td> <td>Winning %</td> </tr><tr><td>-110</td> <td>52.38</td> <td>+110</td> <td>47.62</td> </tr><tr><td>-115</td> <td>53.49</td> <td>+115</td> <td>46.51</td> </tr><tr><td>-120</td> <td>54.55</td> <td>+120</td> <td>45.45</td> </tr><tr><td>-125</td> <td>55.56</td> <td>+125</td> <td>44.44</td> </tr><tr><td>-130</td> <td>56.52</td> <td>+130</td> <td>43.48</td> </tr><tr><td>-135</td> <td>57.45</td> <td>+135</td> <td>42.55</td> </tr><tr><td>-140</td> <td>58.33</td> <td>+140</td> <td>41.67</td> </tr><tr><td>-145</td> <td>59.18</td> <td>+145</td> <td>40.82</td> </tr><tr><td>-150</td> <td>60.00</td> <td>+150</td> <td>40.00</td> </tr><tr><td>-155</td> <td>60.78</td> <td>+155</td> <td>39.22</td> </tr><tr><td>-160</td> <td>61.54</td> <td>+160</td> <td>38.46</td> </tr><tr><td>-165</td> <td>62.26</td> <td>+165</td> <td>37.74</td> </tr><tr><td>-170</td> <td>62.96</td> <td>+170</td> <td>37.04</td> </tr><tr><td>-175</td> <td>63.64</td> <td>+175</td> <td>36.36</td> </tr><tr><td>-180</td> <td>64.29</td> <td>+180</td> <td>35.71</td> </tr><tr><td>-185</td> <td>64.91</td> <td>+185</td> <td>35.09</td> </tr><tr><td>-190</td> <td>65.52</td> <td>+190</td> <td>34.48</td> </tr><tr><td>-200</td> <td>66.67</td> <td>+200</td> <td>32.26</td> </tr><tr><td>-220</td> <td>68.75</td> <td>+220</td> <td>31.25</td> </tr><tr><td>-240</td> <td>70.59</td> <td>+240</td> <td>29.41</td> </tr><tr><td>-250</td> <td>71.43</td> <td>+250</td> <td>28.57</td> </tr></table></div><img src="http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-89EKCgBk8MZdE.gif" border="0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="http://blogtrottr.com/spot/8zH/0/FwK" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br /><br /> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/nY0/dcjBQt">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00627659593662498327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147943748213970127.post-19541806763689742882012-11-17T03:41:00.003-08:002012-11-21T00:19:46.812-08:00Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now: paigow<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; margin-bottom:12px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;">Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">These articles that had the largest increase in popularity over the last week // via fulltextrssfeed.com</span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_"></a> <table width="100%" style="font:12px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; background-color:#fff; padding:10px; margin-bottom:12px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://casinogambling.about.com/od/othergames/a/paigow.htm">paigow</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:10px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 17th 2012, 11:14 </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:12px;"> <p><div>The traditional Asian game of Pai Gow is played with tiles that look like dominos. To make it easier to understand an American version was introduced using standard playing cards and the ranking of hands were fashioned after poker hands. Thus the new game of Pai Gow Poker was developed. <p>Pai Gow Poker is played with a standard 52-card deck and one joker. The joker can be used as an ace or a wild card to complete a straight, a flush or straight flush only. The game is played on a blackjack-size table with up to six players and a banker. The players are playing against the banker. In most cases the casino acts as the banker although players can chose to bank the game if they wish to. This would require having enough money to cover all of the other player’s bets. The casino collects a five- percent commission on all winning bets.</p> <p>To start the game, the players make their bets according to the table minimum. The dealer shuffles the cards and deals out seven stacks containing seven cards. This is done no matter how many players there are. The Banker shakes a cup containing three dice to determine who gets the first hand.</p> <p>The player looks at their seven cards and sets them into a two-card hand and a five-card hand. There is a place marked on the table to place your hands. The two-card hand is placed in front and the five-card hand is placed behind it. If both of your hands beat the Banker’s two hands you win. If one of your hands beats the Bankers and one loses it is a push and there are no winners. If either of your hands has the exact same value as the Banker’s hand it is a tie, which is called a copy and the Banker wins. If the Banker’s two hands beats both of your hands you lose.</p> <p>When you are setting your hands, your five-card hand must be a higher value than your two-card hand. If you make a mistake and the two-card hand is higher it is a “foul†and you lose automatically. When the casino acts as the Banker the dealers must set their hands according to certain rules, which is called the “House Way.†If you are unsure of how to set your and you can ask the dealer to set it the “House Way.†This will keep you from making a mistake.</p> <p>Pai Gow is a slower paced game. There are many pushes. The Banker has a slight edge because it wins the copies (Ties).</p> <p><strong>Pai Gow Strategy:</strong></p> <p><strong>Back = 5 card hand<br/>Front = 2 card hand</strong></p> <p><strong>NO PAIR:</strong> Use the highest card in the back and second and third highest in front<br/><strong>ONE PAIR:</strong> Place pair in back, highest other two cards in front.</p> <p><strong>TWO PAIR:</strong><br/><strong>Big Pair is Jack thru Ace:</strong> Place small pair in front.<br/><strong>Big Pair is 7’s thru 10’s:</strong> Place both pairs in back if you can put Ace in front.<br/><strong>Big Pair is 2’s thru 6’s:</strong> Place both pairs in back if you can put King in front; otherwise split.</p> <p><strong>THREE PAIR:</strong> Place big pair in front.</p> <p><strong>THREE OF A KIND:</strong><br/><strong>Aces:</strong> Place an Ace and next highest card in front.<br/><strong>Kings and Below:</strong> Place three of a kind in back; two highest cards in front.</p> <p><strong>TWO SETS (3 0f a kind):</strong> Place pair from higher set in front.</p> <p><strong>STRAIGHT; FLUSH; STRAIGHT FLUSH:</strong><br/><strong>With No Pair:</strong><br/>Place two highest cards in front that leave a complete hand in back.<br/><strong>With One Pair:</strong> Place two highest cards possible (pair or no pair) in front that leave a complete hand in back.<br/><strong>With Two Pair:</strong> Use two pair strategy.<br/><strong>With Three of a Kind:</strong> Place complete hand in back, pair in front.</p> <p><strong>FULL HOUSE:</strong> Put pair in front and three of a kind in back.</p> <p><strong>FOUR OF A KIND:</strong><br/><strong>Jacks thru Aces:</strong> Always split and put one pair in front and one in back.<br/><strong>7’s thru 10’s:</strong> Place four of a kind in back if you can put Ace or King in front; otherwise split.<br/><strong>6’s or Below:</strong> Never split as long as you can put a card higher than the 4 of a kind in front.<br/><strong>With a Pair:</strong> Play four of a kind in back; pair in front.<br/><strong>With Three of a Kind:</strong> Put highest pair in front; full house in back.</p> <p><strong>FIVE ACES:</strong> Place pair of Aces in front.</p> <p>That is the basic strategy for the game. That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.â€</em> <p>Those immortal lines were spoken by Juliet in Shakespeare’s classic play Romeo and Juliet. While there may be truth in those lines when we are talking about flowers, it is not necessarily the truth when applied to slot machines. The name “Penny Slot†might be best described by the expression, “A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing.†Names can be deceiving and finding the right name for a product can be the difference between its success and failure. Part of this is due to the fact that we tend associate mental images or feelings to words that we hear.</p> <p><strong>Penny Slots â€" The Newest Innovation</strong><br/>I am often asked about the latest innovations hitting the casino floors and lately I have been telling people that the hottest trend in the gaming industry has been the introduction of the “Penny Slot Machines.†The reaction to this statement is always the same; Laughter.</p> <p>The reason for this reaction is that the penny is the lowest denomination of currency in our country. People can’t even name a product that can be purchased for a penny anymore. As a society we have gotten used to hearing about big sums of money. We have become somewhat desensitized to hearing about large sums of money. In this day and age when million dollar slot machine jackpots are commonplace and winners of Poker tournaments become instant millionaires, it’s hard to think of the penny as having much value. But the slot makers and casinos have discovered how valuable pennies can really be. In fact they have found that pennies really equal profits.</p> <p>When we hear about penny slot machines the first thing that comes to mind is the image of sitting down and inserting a few copper†Abe Lincolns†into the machine and spinning the wheel in hopes of winning a dollar or two. Nothing could be further from the truth.</p> <p><strong>Not Really a Penny Game</strong><br/>The new slot machines are multi-line machines that can accept many coins per line. Over the last few years the Slot Machine makers have been adding more lines to their games. They have also increased the number of coins that can be played on each line. This innovation was due primarily to the introduction of the “coinless machines†with bill acceptor and ticket out payoffs. This did away with the need to have a hopper filled with actual coins. A few years ago we saw a resurgence of the nickel slots as the number of coins that could be played on the machines increased. The new games could take so many coins per spin that it became cost prohibitive for many players to play maximum coins at the quarter level so the denomination of coins dropped down to a nickel. As the popularity of the nickel games increased the slot makers wanted to make games that would take even more coins per spin. Some of these games again became too expensive for the average player to play maximum coins even at the nickel level. The next logical step was to drop the denomination down again to the penny.</p> <p>The reason I call the penny slot machines a “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing is the fact that the cost of playing maximum coins per spin on the new penny slot games can far exceed playing maximum coins in an old 3 coin dollar machine. I saw one slot machine at the gaming show that had a maximum bet of 1,600 coins. That’s $16 a spin. While this is not the average game many of them have 20 lines that can take up to 50 cons per line which would be $10 a spin.</p> <p><strong>Penny Megabucks</strong><br/>A while back IGT announced that it was introducing a penny version of its popular Megabucks game. Now the player could win millions with just a few pennies. That may sound good until you investigate further. To win the progressive jackpot on the standard dollar Megabucks machine you must be playing the maximum three coins per spin which equals $3. To win the progressive jackpot on the penny Megabucks game you must be playing the maximum 300 coins per spin which equals $3. Now who’s kidding who?</p> <p><strong>Play With Caution</strong><br/>If you want to play the penny slot machines you should approach them with caution. Don’t just automatically hit the maximum spin button or you might be in for an unpleasant surprise. Read the help screen and find out how many coins it takes to have a bet on all the lines. Then decide how many coins/credits you want to risk per spin. You may choose to start with 2 or3 on each line.</p> <p>These new machines have a higher hit frequency even though you might win back less than your initial wager on a spin. If you get ahead you can increase the number of coins you play per line. If you are losing you can go back to a single coin per line.</p> <p>These new penny slot machines can be fun to play. Each winning spin will increase your total score. Any unused credits are lost and you will be at a disadvantage because you did not take as many spins as your opponents. To help increase your speed, keep your fingers on the spin button and lightly tap it. You don't need to pound the spin button. By leaving your fingers on it you will save a few split seconds that you would have lost by taking your hand off the button.</p> <p>You will need to concentrate when you are playing in the tournament. Before you start you want to look at the pay table of the machine. When the machine is adding winning credits to your score it will not spin until all the credits have been tallied. If you a big win it will take a few seconds to do this. You can take a quick breath but you must be prepared to start tapping as soon as this is done. Don't be distracted or spend time celebrating if you have a big hit. I was playing in a tournament and a young lady sitting next to me kept jumping up and hollering each time she had a big win. After the time was up she had only played about half her credits.</p> <p>Some players get bored or tired while they are playing in a tournament causing them to slow down. This has been downfall of many players who suddenly find that time has run out and they still have unused credits on their machines. Many new players remark that the twenty minutes seemed like an hour when they were playing. Make sure you are alert and well rested before entering a tournament. If you are not at your best your score could suffer.</p> <p>Curiosity can also effect the outcome of your score. It is human nature to want to know how you are doing compared to the other players. I see many tournament players looking around trying to see the score of the other players. The time to find out is after your session not while you are playing. Just keep your mind on your own score and concentrate on using all your credits.</p> <p>As you play in more tournaments you will find that your speed increases and you will have time left on your meter after you play your credits. Until you reach this point it is advisable not to bring your soda, coffee or water to the machine with you. You don't want to waste precious time sipping on a drink.</p> <p>The simple Slot Tournament strategy is to play fast, stay focused and have fun. Besides being fun, many slot tournaments can be a good value. </p> </div><img src="http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-89EKCgBk8MZdE.gif" border="0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="http://blogtrottr.com/spot/8zH/0/FwK" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br /><br /> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/nY0/dcjBQt">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00627659593662498327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147943748213970127.post-9129233019319526012012-11-17T03:41:00.000-08:002012-11-21T00:19:46.835-08:00Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now: slotmyth<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; margin-bottom:12px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;">Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">These articles that had the largest increase in popularity over the last week // via fulltextrssfeed.com</span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_"></a> <table width="100%" style="font:12px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; background-color:#fff; padding:10px; margin-bottom:12px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://casinogambling.about.com/od/slots/a/slotmyth.htm">slotmyth</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:10px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 17th 2012, 11:14 </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:12px;"> <p><div>The dictionary defines the following:<br/><strong>Myth:</strong> A popular belief that has grown around something. A traditional story to explain a practice, belief or natural phenomenon.<br/><strong>Misconception:</strong> Something interpreted incorrectly. <p>Both of these words are interchangeable when discussing the beliefs some people have about slot machines. Most people don't understand the inner working of the slots so it is easy to explain a loss or a win with some false logic. Like any other "wives tales" these are passed from person to person until they become gospel. Most of these myths and misconceptions are harmless but they can add to your frustration and take away some of the enjoyment from your casino visit. Let’s take a look at a few of the most popular myths and the truth behind them.</p> <p>No other segment of the gaming industry has benefited more from the technology revolution than the slot machine. Once considered the ugly stepdaughter, placed on the gaming floor to appease the spouses of table players, the slot machine has been transformed into the fairy Princess of the gaming world. With her she has brought a dowry of riches no one would have imagined for the casino and a few lucky players as well. Twenty years ago the slot machine accounted for 30 percent of the casinos profits. Today it accounts for about 70 percent. Computer technology makes it possible to offer life-changing jackpots big enough to turn a pauper into a King.</p> <p>This new technology also brings with it many myths and misconceptions as players try to unravel the mysteries of the modern computerized slot machine. Here are a few of the myths surrounding the slot machine.</p> <p><strong>Someone hit a jackpot on the machine you just left, you would have gotten that jackpot if you kept playing.</strong><br/>False. The slot machines have a computer chip inside that runs the Random Number Generator (RNG). The RNG is continuously cycling through numbers even when the machine is not being played. These numbers correspond to the stops on the wheel that display the winning or losing symbols that you see when the reels stop. When you hit the spin button or pull the handle, the RNG picks the combination at that given microsecond. If you had stayed at the machine, it is highly unlikely that you would have stopped the RNG at the exact nano-second to display that same combination of numbers. In the time it takes to talk with a friend or sip your drink the RNG has cycled through thousands of combinations.</p> <p><strong>You can tell the odds of winning by counting the symbols on each wheel.</strong><br/>No. The RNG generates a number for each spin. The number corresponds to the symbols on the Reel. There can be hundreds of Virtual stops on each wheel even though you only see a few symbols. For example you may see 20 symbols on each wheel of a three-reel machine. You figure 20 x 20 x 20 = 8,000 combinations and your chance of hitting the jackpot is 1 in 8000. In reality the computer chip may program 256 stops for each wheel which makes the odds 256 x 256 x 256 =16,777,216 combinations. Being able to generate millions of combinations is the reason that slots can offer large paybacks.</p> <p><strong>Casinos can loosen or tighten the slot machines with the flip of a switch.</strong><br/>False. The slot machines have a computer chip in them that determines the pay back percentage. These are preset at the factory. In order for a casino to change the pay back, they would have to change the chip. In most jurisdictions there is paper work that has to be filled and submitted to the Casino Control Commission for each machine if the chip is changed. It is time consuming and the chips are very expensive. For this reason, it is more economical to decide on the pay back percentages before purchasing the machines and having the factory ship them with the proper chip.</p> <p><strong>A machine that has not been paying is due to hit.</strong><br/>False. There is no way to determine if a machine is due to hit. Each spin is a random occurrence and has no bearing on what has happened previously. Don't ever play more than you should because of this myth. It will be devastating to your bankroll if you do.</p> <p><strong>The temperature of the coins played will affect the way a machine pays.</strong><br/>False. The machine is not affected by temperature. It doesn't matter if you play hot, cold, old or new coins. The coin slot is a mechanical device and has no feeling. There is one potential danger with this myth. I once saw a fellow burn his fingers while trying to heat up a coin with a lighter.</p> <p><strong>If you use your slot club card the machine will pay back less.</strong><br/>False. In my opinion, this is the most damaging myth of them all. There is no link between the card reader and the RNG. By not using you player's card you are denying yourself valuable comps and sometimes cash back from the casino.</p> <p><strong>Until next time, remember:<br/>"Luck comes and goes...Knowledge Stays Forever."</strong> </p> </div><img src="http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-89EKCgBk8MZdE.gif" border="0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="http://blogtrottr.com/spot/8zH/0/FwK" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br /><br /> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/nY0/dcjBQt">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00627659593662498327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147943748213970127.post-13343351266699051592012-11-16T12:03:00.000-08:002012-11-21T00:19:46.809-08:00Casino Gambling: MGM Resorts and Royal Caribbean Offer Joint Perks<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; margin-bottom:12px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;">Casino Gambling</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">Get the latest headlines from the Casino Gambling GuideSite. // via fulltextrssfeed.com</span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_"></a> <table width="100%" style="font:12px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; background-color:#fff; padding:10px; margin-bottom:12px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://casinogambling.about.com/b/2012/11/16/mgm-resorts-and-royal-caribbean-offer-joint-perks.htm">MGM Resorts and Royal Caribbean Offer Joint Perks</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:10px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 16th 2012, 15:13 </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:12px;"> <p><div> <p>MGM Resorts International and Royal Caribbean cruise lines are now partners in offering new perks on land and sea! Casinos have known this for fifty years since Edward O. Thorp wrote a book called <a href="http://redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&u=http%3A%2F%2Fcasinogambling.about.com%2Fod%2Fcasinoreading%2Ffr%2FBeat-The-Dealer-By-Edward-O-Thorp-Book-Review.htm%2F"><em>Beat the Dealer</em></a>. But the game is still offered because not enough players take the time to learn <a href="http://redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&u=http%3A%2F%2Fcasinogambling.about.com%2Fod%2Fblackjack101%2Fa%2FHow-To-Play-Blackjack.htm%2F">how to play blackjack</a> very well.</p> <p>Some players put the time into learning <a href="http://redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&u=http%3A%2F%2Fcasinogambling.about.com%2Fod%2Fblackjack101%2Fa%2FBasic-Strategy-For-Blackjack.htm%2F">basic strategy for blackjack</a>, and they are able to play almost even with the house. However, to win regularly takes a little more work and practice.</p> <strong>The Count</strong> <p>The basis for card counting is that the house edge changes as cards are removed from a deck of cards. Sometimes the edge is actually in the players' favor. But, the player will always be at a disadvantage to the house, even if they play perfect basic strategy and count cards, if they never vary their bet. To take advantage of their edge, the player must wager more money at the right time.</p> <p>To keep track of when that right time might be, a simple plus minus count is used. The player uses basic strategy, but also keeps a running total in their head of the "count". As a player sees cards in action, they assign the following numbers and keep a running count. With a new deck or a new shoe, the count will always starts at zero. Remember, if you lose track of your count, just bet a single unit, don't try to guess. If there are plenty of tables around and you are playing a shoe, you can always move to another table.</p> <p><strong>2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - each of these cards counts as plus 1</strong></p> <p><strong>Aces and ten cards (tens, jacks, queens and kings) count as minus 1</strong></p> <p><strong>7, 8, 9 count as zero - just ignore them</strong></p> <p>For example, on the first hand, the cards on the table are a ten, a 5, a 6, an 8, and an ace. You count minus 1 for the ten, back to even with the five, plus 1 with the six, the eight is zero - so ignore it, and back to even with the ace. Your running count is back to zero. As new cards are revealed you continue the count. Any time the count is a minus number or zero, make a bet of one unit.</p> <p>When the count is positive, bet more than one unit. By betting more when you have the edge, and less when you don't, you can actually beat the casino at blackjack! Of course you have to practice the count before you ever play for real money!</p> <strong>Practice The Count</strong> <p>On the first hand of a single deck you bet one unit and wait. Here is the run of cards: 6, 4, 2 ace, ten, five, four, six, 9, 8. Your count should be: one, two, three, two, one, two, three, four, four, four (ignore the 7, 8, 9 - they are zero). Now the odds are in your favor, bet two or three units.</p> <p>Next hand the new cards seen are: ten, 8, 2, ace, ten, 4, ten, ten, 9, ten, 3. Your count should start with four and go three, three, four, three, four, three, two, two, three. The count is still three so you should bet two or three units again.</p> <p>In a single deck game you will probably get just one more hand. Your work is done and you got to bet more when you had the edge. Whenever the count is negative or even, bet one unit. If you are playing on a shoe game with more than one deck, you will need to convert your running count to a true count before making your next bet.</p> <strong>True Count Conversion</strong> <p>With a shoe, the number of cards still to be used must be factored into your bet. You still only bet one unit with any negative or zero count, but if the deck is positive (any number of +1 or higher), you need to look at the discard rack and guess how many decks have been used, and how many remain in the shoe. With a six-deck shoe, you will divide your running count by 6 at the beginning. If your running count is 12, your true count is 12/6 = 2. If four decks remain, divide 12/4 = 3. If two decks remain, you divide your running count by the two remaining decks: 12/2 = 6.</p> <p>Yes, you have to keep the running count in your head - and divide the remaining decks by that running count before each bet. It takes some work. The payoff is that depending on the positive running count, you know how much to bet and when to take insurance.</p> <strong>Insurance</strong> <p>Taking insurance is a bad bet if the count is negative, but if the true count is plus 2 or higher, insurance is a good bet. Take it!</p> <strong>How Much to Bet</strong> <p>Unfortunately, casinos don't like to let card counters play. It is perfectly legal to use your brain to bet the house, but they still have the right to bar you from playing in Nevada (but not in Atlantic City and a few other places). The trick is to not be noticed. But you have to vary your bets to make any money - so walk the tightrope!</p> <p>When the count is positive, you need to bet more than one unit. A simple to remember system is to bet one unit to start, and add a single unit for each 1/2 true count advantage:</p> <ul><li>True Count = 1 Bet 1 unit</li> <li>True Count = 1.5 Bet 2 units</li> <li>True Count = 2 Bet 3 units</li> <li>True Count = 2.5 Bet 4 units</li> <li>True Count = 3 Bet 5 units</li> <li>True Count = 3.5 Bet 6 units</li> <li>True Count = 4 Bet 7 units</li> <li>True Count = 4.5 Bet 8 Units</li> <li>True Count = 5 Bet 9 Units</li> <li>True Count = 5.5 or more you should bet 10 units</li> <li><strong>Don't Get Barred</strong> <p>Now <a href="http://redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&u=http%3A%2F%2Fcasinogambling.about.com%2Fod%2Fcasinos101%2Fa%2FCasino-Pit-Boss-Job.htm%2F">pit bosses</a> are trained to catch counters, and their main tip-off is players who rarely take insurance (except in positive counts) and who vary their bets. You have to look like the average player. If the count jumps suddenly, don't jump your bet from one unit to 10 units. That's likely to get you barred. Learn some clever cover for your player. Use a parlay when you win and the count increases. You might want to spread to two hands occasionally to help increase your bet. Be smart and you can beat blackjack!</p> </li> </ul></div><img src="http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-89EKCgBk8MZdE.gif" border="0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="http://blogtrottr.com/spot/8zH/0/FwK" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br /><br /> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/nY0/dcjBQt">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00627659593662498327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4147943748213970127.post-26285101706077588432012-11-16T03:24:00.001-08:002012-11-21T00:19:46.814-08:00Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now: Map Casinos -Tunica Mississippi<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; margin-bottom:12px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;">Casino Gambling: What's Hot Now</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">These articles that had the largest increase in popularity over the last week // via fulltextrssfeed.com</span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_"></a> <table width="100%" style="font:12px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; background-color:#fff; padding:10px; margin-bottom:12px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://casinogambling.about.com/library/bltunicamap.htm">Map Casinos -Tunica Mississippi</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:10px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 16th 2012, 11:08 </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:12px;"> <p><div> <p><a name="top"/> Tunica Casinos</p> <p><strong><big><a href="http://redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&u=http%3A%2F%2Fcasinogambling.about.com%2Fmsubmenutunica.htm">List of Casinos</a></big></strong></p> <blockquote> <p><img src="http://0.tqn.com/d/casinogambling/1/0/J/1/Tunmap.GIF" width="504" height="382" alt="map of Tunica" /></p> <p>To travel from one are to the oter you will need a car or yoy can use the free shuttle bus offered by many of the casinos. The players sit along the rounded edge and the dealer stands on the straight side with a tray of chips in front of them. You can purchase chips from the dealer with cash, or bring chips from other tables. Some clubs allow you to play cash.</p> <p>Your bet for the upcoming hand goes inside the betting circle located in front of your chair. Your extra chips go right in front of you, next to the padded rail that goes around the table.</p> <strong>Table Limits</strong> <p>Each table has a minimum and a maximum limit for each bet. The limit sign is usually on the far left as you face the table. A limit of $5-$250 means you can bet any amount from $5 to $250 on each hand. Place your buy-in between the betting circles so it is not mistaken for a bet.</p> <p>Consider sitting at a table where the other players are playing close to what you want to play. You may be uncomfortable playing $5 per hand when the other players are betting $100, and they may feel the same about having you at "their" table.</p> <strong>Game Conditions</strong> <p>Blackjack can be played with a single deck of 52-cards or multiple decks may be used. If four, six, or eight decks are used, once they are shuffled, the cards will be housed in a plastic "shoe" that allows one card at a time to come out. At some casinos, the cards are placed in a continuous shuffler where the dealer takes out one card at a time.</p> <p>Once you place your bet in your own circle, the <a href="http://redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&u=http%3A%2F%2Fcasinogambling.about.com%2Fod%2Fcasinos101%2Fa%2FTop-Ten-Reasons-To-Be-A-Casino-Dealer.htm%2F">dealer</a> will start the hand. If the game is played with your cards exposed, you do not touch your cards. If your cards are dealt face down, you pick them up with one hand. The dealer will expose just one of their cards, but will check to see if they have a blackjack.</p> <strong>Blackjack</strong> <p>If the dealer has a two-card 21, they win instantly, unless you also have a blackjack. If you both have a natural, or blackjack, then you tie, and no chips change hands. If you have blackjack and the dealer does not, expose you cards and you will be paid 3 chips for every 2 you bet. A $5 blackjack pays $7.50</p> <p>There are some games where a blackjack pays just 6 to 5, so check the limit sign to see what you will get on a blackjack. On this game, a $5 bet wins only $6 and this rule makes the game very tough on the players' bankrolls.</p> <strong>Insurance</strong> <p>Insurance is a side-bet that the dealer has a blackjack. This will be offered when the dealer shows an ace-up. Insurance is rarely a good bet, skip it and you will do fine.</p> <p>A winning insurance bet pays 2-1. If your original bet is $10 and you take insurance for $5, you get paid $10. If the dealer does not have a blackjack you lose your $5 insurance wager.</p> <p>If you also have a blackjack, you and the dealer will tie, called a "push." If you have a blackjack and want to take insurance, you can say "even money," which works out the same as far as your payoff goes.</p> <strong>Hitting and Standing</strong> <p>After the dealer checks for blackjack, the player to the dealer's left acts first. If the cards are in their hand, they sweep them towards themselves to signify they want a card. This scratching motion lets everybody know, from the eye-in-sky to the pit boss to the dealer, that the player wants another card - a hit.</p> <p>If your first two cards are dealt face-up, use your hand in a sweeping motion towards yourself to indicate a hit.</p> <p>When you want no more cards, or to "stand," tuck your cards under your bet. If the cards were dealt face-up, then make a sideways motion with your hand to indicate "no-more," and your play is finished.</p> </div><img src="http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-89EKCgBk8MZdE.gif" border="0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="http://blogtrottr.com/spot/8zH/0/FwK" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:10px; border-radius:6px; -moz-border-radius:6px; -webkit-border-radius:6px; line-height:14px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br /><br /> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/nY0/dcjBQt">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="http://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00627659593662498327noreply@blogger.com
